"Standing in the present, remembering the past, and reaching for the future"
Rev. Kardell Ferguson, Sr. & First Lady Lorine Mitchell Ferguson
Welcome to Lovely Hill Baptist Church!
For more than twenty years, Rev. Kardell Ferguson, Sr. and First Lady Lorine Mitchell Ferguson have faithfully served the congregations of Lovely Hill Baptist Church and Zion Oak Grove Baptist Church, grounded in a deep commitment to Jesus Christ, the truth of His Word, and the spiritual growth of His people.
Pastor Ferguson is a veteran of the United States Air Force, a retired Geographic Information System (GIS) Coordinator for Colleton County Government, and a
graduate of Morris College Theological Seminary. Throughout his ministry, he has remained steadfast in preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching the life-
changing truth of Scripture, and guiding believers to grow in faith, obedience, and a closer walk with the Lord.
Together, Pastor and First Lady Ferguson are devoted to nurturing a Christ-centered church family where all are welcomed, hearts are transformed through the power of God’s Word, and lives are shaped by faith, prayer, and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Their prayer is that every person who enters our church will be encouraged by God’s presence, strengthened through His Word, and drawn into a deeper
relationship with Jesus Christ.
Whether you are searching for a church home or simply visiting, we invite you to worship with us and experience the love of Christ in a warm and welcoming church
family as we: Stand in the Present, Remember the Past, and Reach for the Future.
Beloved family, as we step into this new season, I'm reminded that the same God who carried us through 125 years is the same God who walks with us today. The world around us shifts — but His Word stands forever.
In every trial, every triumph, every quiet moment between, we are anchored. Not by our strength. Not by circumstance. But by the unshakable promises of a faithful Father.
This month, I encourage you to rest in that truth. Walk boldly. Love deeply. Serve faithfully.
